Windows to Wine looks out upon our new wine culture where creating the finest artisan wines is in the hands of the small farmer-vintner.  This wine culture, which is now spreading across the United States and actually transforming local economies and the quality of life, has opened the window to other small farmers.  They are finding that there is a new appetite if not yearning for non-factory farming as well as wine-making, and that ultimately you can’t subvert nature’s plan — foods that taste the best are usually the healthiest.  Windows to Wine celebrates this growing awareness of what we eat and drink and especially how we must grow it responsibly… and that our bodies have a say in this!  W2W stresses the most essential of innate values — and as old as human survival — that we must know (again) where our food (and wine) derives.  That is a basic right; that is basic health.
Windows to Wine connects us to creative winemakers, artisan farmers, and to the emerging cuisine sensibilities in a not-for-profit, on-line country store — to trade stories and market our goods, available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  When you buy from our virtual farmer’s market — our country store — all profits are reinvested to support and champion family farmers and artisan food makers and craftsmen. Our store provides an unique, far-reaching opportunity for the small family farmer and winemaker to be introduced to an appreciative world audience, allowing them to spend their time in their sustainable fields, farms and wineries rather than in airplanes and motel rooms attempting to market their products in a super-marketing world that buries us in fast-food wines.
W2W provides the portal to the small, family, independent, Jeffersonian, boutique, artisan, biodiverse, sustainable, earth smart, eco-conscious, organic farmers and winemakers and crafters and breeders.  W2W is the pathway to all of us who want to escape from the mass marketed, industrial-food pipeline, homogenized global wines, and the conformity culture to a time not too long ago when our own back yards fed half the country, when a tomato didn’t have to be genetically altered to travel 1,500 miles to your plate. When we shop at the supermarkets we get to taste less than one percent of the vegetable varieties grown before large-scale, chemical-dependent farming subverted the family farms.
